BRAZIL

Known for their barbecued meats, Brazil’s churrascaría cuisine (roughly from the Portuguese word for “barbecue”) highlights skewers of roasted boar, beef, pork, and many other specialty meats that are ready to slice and enjoy.

.

CHILE

Did you know Chile is also filled with volcanoes? This results in land that is so rich and fertile, some of the most delicious food is grown by the natives.

COLUMBIA

Colombia exports the majority of their best coffee to American retailers, so you’ve likely tasted Colombian coffee at some point. Visit a coffee plantation and enjoy a cup of coffee traditional Colombian style: lightly roasted with its natural sweetness on full display.

COSTA RICA

In Costa Rica, that means trying foods like Gallo Pinto or Casado. The base for both of these meals is beans and rice, but you’ll find variations based on where you order… all you need to do is find your favorite!

.

EAST EUROPE

Pickled veggies, bread, red meats, and fruits — this cuisine is a blend of hearty peasant foods and elegant gourmet offerings. The region’s natural resources are a huge influence on the food with plenty of fresh fish and seafood, sausages, dairy products, mushrooms, a staggering variety of breads, noodles, and dumplings, and a seemingly ever-present inclusion of garden goods such as potatoes and cucumbers.

ECUADOR

After a day of adventure, there is no better way to treat yourself than to more adventure by trying the vibrant and diverse foods eaten by the natives. The food combines Ecuadorian heritage with other cultures to produce simple but extremely tasty dishes. What’s one local delicacy that’s bound to bring our you “explorer” side? Guinea pig!

ETHIOPIA

Coffee is the largest foreign exchange earner for Ethiopia with more coffee being produced here than any other nation on the continent. Enset is also a staple local food source, providing more amount of foodstuff per unit area than most cereals!

INDIA

India is known for its distinct cultural vibrancy from the texture of fabrics to the sight of jewelry to the smell and taste of palatable traditional dishes ranging between curries, kebabs, and countless spices & seasonings.

VIETNAM

Floating markets and old buildings, winding alleyways, and hole-in-the-wall shops are ideal for authentic Vietnamese cuisine from pho to spring rolls and bahn mi. Some “restaurants” could be a person’s home or a few stools laid out on a sidewalk — just keep your eyes open for where the locals are eating, because that’s a tell-tale sign of delicious food.
